The Hacker Initiative’s 2023 grant cycle is now open. We’re proud to announce the launch of its 5th Annual grant cycle, aimed at fostering technology innovation, education, and applications that will have a transformative impact on the global community.
Our 2023 grant cycle has a goal of granting at least $100,000 USD. The hacking community has the potential to bring about positive change in our communities, from revolutionizing the way we grow food and deliver medical care to bridging the digital gap. Our aim is to support technologies that can make a difference.
This year’s grant cycle will focus on a diverse range of technologies, including quantum computing, clean energy, networking applications, innovative hardware, and STEAM teaching projects to help educators. The deadline for proposals is August 15, 2023.

De ce que j’en ai compris ça finance des projets notamment de groupe de recherche, de personnes en études, etc., qui n’auraient pas trop accès à des subs type de la ville ou du privé. Mais y a des phrases qui me questionne genre « Our aim is to support technologies that can make a difference », ça fait un peu solutionnisme technologique mais après c’est peut-être que mon ressenti. Sinon pour les thunes y a marqué « jusqu’à $100,000 USD » mais c’est réparti entre les lauréat·e·s avec des montants de 1000 à 10,000 $. Je sais pas trop comment ça se passe pour les pays en UE du coup avec le change et tout ça.
